The Internet has become the buzzword for the wired culture, but what is it really? What's the best way to connect to the Internet? Come learn about Internet Service Providers, modems, POP's, the World Wide Web, Browsers, Search Engines, Portals and how an ordinary citizen can learn to drink from the information fire hose. The Internet Basics class is Driver's Education for the information superhighway and will help prepare you for a hands-on, behind the wheel experience. You do not have to be a computer whiz or an engineer to make the Internet work for you. This multimedia lecture series will provide a beginning look at how to hitch a ride on the future of communication. Classes run for two evenings and are two hours per session. |
